Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 26, 2026
LingoLore ("we", "us", or "our") operates the LingoLore mobile app and website. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how account deletion works.
1. Information We Collect
Account and sign-in data. If you create an account or sign in, we store your Firebase user ID, email address, email verification state, display name, profile photo URL, sign-in providers (email/password, Google, or Apple), account creation time, update time, and last active time.
Preferences. We store settings needed to operate your account, including your native language, review preferences, timezone offset, and review day-rollover setting.
Learning activity. When signed in, we sync reading and listening progress, including story IDs, language, current page, maximum page or paragraph reached, progress percentage, last opened/read/listened times, and completion times.
Review activity and statistics. If you use review features, we store selected review decks, card scheduling state, due dates, review ratings, review timestamps, review durations, and daily/profile statistics used to show your review queue, streaks, progress, and learning history.
Subscription data. If subscriptions are enabled or you purchase premium access, we store a snapshot of your premium entitlement, including whether premium is active, product ID, store, expiration date, renewal state, environment, and source. We also store RevenueCat webhook event IDs for a limited time so we do not process duplicate billing events.
Support requests. If you contact us, we receive the email address and information you choose to include in your message.
Server logs and diagnostics. Our servers and hosting providers may record technical information such as endpoint, request time, response status, error details, and security diagnostics. We use this to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
Local device data. The app may store progress, preferences, cached story/audio/image assets, and other app state on your device so the app can work quickly and preserve your place. In-app account deletion clears local reading and listening progress on that device after server deletion succeeds.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Create and maintain your account and keep you signed in
- Sync reading, listening, review, and profile statistics across devices
- Operate review scheduling, progress tracking, premium access, and subscriptions
- Provide support and respond to account or deletion requests
- Secure the Service, prevent abuse, debug issues, and maintain reliability
3. Third-Party Services
We use service providers to operate the app:
- Firebase / Google Cloud for authentication and backend infrastructure. See Firebase privacy and security and Google's Privacy Policy.
- Apple for Sign in with Apple and App Store distribution, purchases, and subscriptions where applicable. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Google Play for Android distribution, purchases, and subscriptions where applicable. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat for subscription entitlement syncing and purchase event processing. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) for hosting app assets such as story images and audio.
4. Tracking, Ads, Sale, and Sharing
We do not show ads, sell personal information, or use your data for cross-app tracking. We do not use IDFA or advertising tracking. We share data with the service providers listed above only as needed to operate the Service, process subscriptions, provide support, and comply with legal or platform obligations.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
You can delete your account in the app at Settings → Delete account, or by following the instructions on our Data Deletion page. Account deletion permanently removes the app-controlled account record, Firebase sign-in identity controlled by LingoLore, synced reading/listening progress, review state, review events, and review/profile statistics.
We may retain a minimal non-identifying deletion receipt for up to one year. This receipt contains a hashed account identifier, source of the request, status, and deletion timestamps. It does not contain your raw email address, Firebase user ID, name, profile photo URL, progress, review data, or subscription details.
Apple, Google Play, RevenueCat, email providers, and hosting providers may retain their own records, such as purchase history, invoices, fraud-prevention records, tax/accounting records, support emails, and service logs, according to their own legal obligations and privacy policies.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of your personal information. To exercise these rights, use the in-app deletion option or contact us at the email address below. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post updates on this page and update the effective date.
