Data Deletion
This page explains how to delete your LingoLore account and app-controlled personal data.
Delete Your Account In-App
The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the app: Settings → Delete account. After you confirm, LingoLore deletes your app account and associated app-controlled data. If server deletion fails, the app does not clear local progress or sign you out, so you can try again or contact support.
What We Delete
Account deletion removes app-controlled data associated with your account:
- Your Firebase sign-in identity controlled by LingoLore
- Your app user record, including email, display name, profile photo URL, and sign-in providers
- Your native language, review preferences, timezone, and day-rollover setting
- Your synced reading and listening progress
- Your selected review decks, card scheduling state, review events, and review statistics
- Your local reading and listening progress stored on the device where you delete the account
- Your local premium entitlement snapshot stored in our backend user record
What May Remain
We may retain a minimal non-identifying deletion receipt for up to one year. This receipt contains only a hashed account identifier, request source, status, and deletion timestamps. It does not contain your raw email address, Firebase user ID, display name, profile photo URL, progress, review data, or subscription details.
Apple, Google Play, RevenueCat, email providers, and hosting providers may retain their own records, such as purchase history, invoices, fraud-prevention records, tax/accounting records, support emails, and service logs, according to their own legal obligations and privacy policies. LingoLore cannot delete records that are controlled by those providers.
Request Deletion By Email
If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by email. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you before deleting it.
Please include the email address associated with your LingoLore account.
